Delegate Bobby Orrock

Senator Orrock has been a constant on the House Agriculture Sub-committee and has shepherded a plethora of animal bills through the House of Delegates. He has been a supporter of Dangerous Dog legislation, strengthening animal neglect and abuse laws and was a major supporter of toughening animal fighting laws. He also has supported the professionalization of Animal Control and resources for underfunded Animal Control Agencies.

Senator Dave Marsden

Senator Marsden has showed tremendous leadership on many animal welfare bills, including the Envigo bills which put restrictions on the use of dogs in medical experimentation and many other notable animal protection bills. This past General Assembly, he was instrumental in defeating bills which would have rolled back animal protections on zoo animals. Animal welfare bills are very important, but it is equally important to stand against bills which would hurt animals.
